THE MIND AND EXERCISE

Each person has their own personality traits, preferences and dislikes in exercise. The mind controls your mood, focus and drive to exercise, this is extremely important in training as motivation to train dictates how consistent someone will be in their program. It is of no surprise, that everyone needs their own personalised training regime suited to them, to promote maximum motivation, focus and post-workout endorphin and reward response for repeat exercise. I therefore place a great emphasis on understanding my client's personality, goals and lifestyle, to fine tune the appropriate forms to exercise.

EXERCISE ADAPTATION

There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to exercising. Parameters such as previous injuries, age, joint range of motion restrictions and body types, will all have a major influence on prescribed exercises and variations. I base all of my workouts and programs around my Client's requirements & goals, and place a great emphasis on researching the best approaches and methods. Each and every individual will have their own biomechanics, and workouts must mirror this.

SCIENCE OVER FADES

With today's fitness, health & wellbeing industry being saturated with social media content and fades, it's easy to get mislead and to follow the diet & exercise trends. It's important to remember that exercise is about you, and should be based on nothing else but your specific needs. I believe in basics done correctly, mastering these consistently, and progressing onto in-depth scientifically proven methods thereafter.

Throughout my career as a Personal Trainer, I've created and worked within a network of Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Nutritionists, Endocrinologists and various other Health Practitioners. As a Health & Fitness Professional, I believe in providing the optimal foundations for my Clients to work from, and when needed, will refer my Client to a trusted and relevant Healthcare Professional. Results in training come from fully tailored programs, and I believe in creating an all-round tailored solution to exercise, working within a network of practitioners.
